Sean McGrath graduated from Lafayette College in 2012 and spent the summer competing in Independent ball before becoming the youngest division 1 pitching coach the next year at Iona College.

Sean McGrath then spent the next seven years in division 1 baseball before making the move to professional baseball; working three years in the Mariners organization.

After spending the 2022 season with the Double A team, Sean McGrath took the pitching coach opportunity at the University of Iowa and is now in his second season.

In his eight years of college baseball, Sean McGrath developed 6 pitchers who have been drafted in the top 8 rounds, including MLB all-star George Kirby who is the definition of a command artist.
